NOWC is the global source of information and commerce services for the New7Wonders campaigns. This privacy policy applies to all brands and services within the New7Wonders family.

Overall privacy statement:
NOWC takes your privacy seriously. Because we gather certain types of information about our users we want to help you understand the terms and conditions surrounding the collection and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses the types of information we gather, how we use it, and how to correct or change it. These privacy practices apply to the Web site that you were viewing when you clicked through to this policy, which is operated by NOWC, its partner or affiliate.

What personally identifiable information does NOWC collect?
NOWC's primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide you with the best and most useful content and services. Because the New7Wonders campaigns derive their revenues mainly from sponsoring, donations and advertising, collecting information is essential to keeping our services affordable to users.

NOWC collects personally identifiable information when you provide it to us, such as when you register on one of our sites, when you vote or subscribe an e-mail newsletter, when you use certain products or services,, and when you visit New7Wonders pages. Several of the services that we offer on our sites, such as voting and message boards, may require registration as a condition of use. Once you register with one of our New7Wonders sites you are no longer anonymous to us. NOWC may also receive information about you from other sources and add it to the information you have provided to us.

What anonymous information does NOWC collect?
Cookies: Your Internet browser has a feature called "cookies" which store small amounts of data on your computer about your visit to any of our sites. However, cookies tell us nothing about who you are unless you specifically give us personally identifiable information. You do not need to have cookies turned on to visit most New7Wonders sites, although active participation in certain areas of our sites may require cookies. In addition, you may elect not to allow cookies to be collected by selecting certain options on your browser.

Web bugs & servers: We use electronic images known as Web bugs - sometimes called single-pixel GIFs, transparent GIFs, or clear gifs - that allow us to track general user traffic patterns. NOWC also automatically receives and records information from our servers and from your browser, including your IP address, the time, and information about the page you requested.

We use tracking technologies in a variety of ways,including: keeping count of return visits to our site or our advertiser' or partners' sites, accumulating and reporting anonymous, aggregate (data collected in mass), statistical information on Web site and advertisement usage determining which features users like best saving your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our sites.

How does NOWC use the information?
NOWC uses the information we gather for four general purposes:
1. to customize the advertising and content you see
2. to enhance the user experience in our network of sites. We use tracking information to determine how well each page performs overall based on aggregate user demographics and traffic patterns to those pages. This helps us continue to build a better service for you
3. to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, such as sending out electronic newsletters and enabling users to participate in polls, contests, message boards, and auctions
4. to send you information you agreed to receive about topics we think will be of interest to you.

Terms of Service
Recognizing the global nature of the Internet, you agree to comply with all local rules regarding online conduct and acceptable Content. Specifically, you agree to comply with all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the country in which you reside.

Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold NOWC, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, co-branders or other partners, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of Content you submit, post, transmit or make available through the Service, your use of the Service, your connection to the Service, your violation of the TOS, or your violation of any rights of another.

No resale of service
You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service.

Modification to service
NOWC reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that NOWC shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

Links
The Service may provide, or third parties may provide, links to other World Wide Web sites or resources. Because NOWC has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that New7Wonders is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any Content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. You further acknowledge and agree that NOWC shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such Content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.

Trademark Information
New7Wonders, and other New7Wonders logos and product and service names are registered trademarks of NOWC,. Without NOWC's prior permission, you agree not to display or use in any manner, the New7Wonders Marks.

Disclaimer of warranties
You expressively understand and agree that:

1. your use of the service is at your sole risk. the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. NOWC expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non- infringement.
2. NOWC makes no warranty that (i) the service will meet your requirements, (ii) the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, (iii) the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable, (iv) the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you through the service will meet your expectations, and (v) any errors in the software will be corrected.
3. any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the service is done at your own discretion and risk and that you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of any such material. d. no advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from yahoo or through or from the service shall create any warranty not expressly stated in the tos.

Limitation of liability
You expressly understand and agree that NOWC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if NOWC has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use the service; (ii) the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods, data, information or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through or from the service; (iii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iv) statements or conduct of any third party on the service; or (v) any other matter relating to the service.

UPLOAD OF PICTURES, VIDEOS AND MORE

You can send us photos and videos featuring images of any of the 21 candidates, 7 wonders, or any participating locations, or you can even send us some general creative New7Wonders ideas you may have. Sorry but we cannot accept photos or videos of any other buildings, monuments or sites or of anything that isn't somehow connected with the nominees, candidates or with a New7Wonders campaign. And of course, we have to screen briefly for content quality and appropriateness of material to make sure that this remains a site that everyone can enjoy. You warrant any material you do provide as not infringing the copyright or other rights of any third party person or organisation. Please do not send us materials owned by another person where you do not have the requisite permission. NOWC expressly disclaims liability for any such third party owned material; NOWC cannot be responsible or liable to you or any third party for any loss (whether such losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise) including but not limited to: loss of data; loss of revenue; loss of business; loss of opportunity; any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of n7w.com as a result of you wilfully or unknowingly providing third party content to NOWC.


Disclaimer
When invited to submit any material (including text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant NOWC a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, make available to the public, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights for your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution. If you do not want to grant to NOWC the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution.


Your use of the Site generally
You may not use the Site for any of the following purposes:

• Disseminating any unlawful, harassing, libellous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material or otherwise breaching any laws
• Transmitting material that encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offence, results in civil liability or otherwise breaches any applicable laws, regulations or code of practice in your or any other jurisdiction
• Interfering with any other person's use or enjoyment of the Site; or making, transmitting or storing electronic copies of materials protected by copyright without the permission of the owner.

You will be responsible for our losses and costs resulting from your breach of this requirement.

By submitting information through the Site you agree and acknowledge that while we may contact you in response to the information you provide, we are not obliged to provide you with any particular product or services.
